About Us

Welcome to Cahaya Bangsa Classical School. Our website has a wealth of information to help you become better acquainted with the distinctive culture and academic programs of CBCS.  We encourage you to explore this website thoroughly to learn as much as you can.

Cahaya Bangsa Classical School (CBCS) is a K-12 Christian classical school with a distinctive identity and approach to education based on the 2,500 year old tradition rooted in Western culture and civilization. We believe that a Christian classical curriculum implemented with effective pedagogy by loving teachers is the best method for equipping students for an ever-changing world and a future not yet imagined.

CBCS serves Indonesian and English speaking students and their families, located on a single campus in Padalarang, West Java on the outskirts of Bandung, the third largest city in Indonesia. Beginning in 2004 with a handful of parents, teachers, and students who desired an alternative to the national public educational system, the school has grown to a current enrollment of 752 students and 154 employees. Approximately 75-80% of the instruction across the school is delivered in English due to the American liberal arts curriculum. The other 20-25% of the curriculum is delivered in Indonesian, such as the formal study of Indonesian language and culture, along with PE and certain elective classes.

Cahaya Bangsa Classical School is accredited with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) since 2013 and is also a member of The Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS) and Perkumpulan Sekolah SPK Indonesia.
