Message From the Head
On January 19, 2026, CBCS joined the MPK Day of Prayer for Christian schools across Indonesia. Everyone on campus, from PS to G12, faculty and staff, along with parents on site for a Tea Time with Denise, prayed for the advancement of the gospel through Christian education in this beautiful nation. In God’s amazing timing, a huge answer to years of prayer for Christian education in Indonesia occurred a few days earlier on January 15, 2026, when the Majelis Pendidikan Kristen (MPK) organization and the CBCS School Board, Yayasan Berkat Bagi Bangsa (YBBB), signed an MOU designating CBCS as the first model school in Indonesia to partner in the MPK School Transformation Program. CBCS and a select few leading Christian schools across the island of Java will become "training centers” to host area Christian schools who are eager to grow and learn, but who lack sufficient resources to do so. It was awesome witnessing the CBCS vision and mission (building the nation through Christ-centered education by becoming a model school) come to life in such a tangible way. What a supreme grace and blessing…all glory to God!
Especially fitting this month during our schoolwide focus on service, we will join our global accreditation partner, ACSI, for their annual Day of Prayer. We encourage you to join us and ACSI when we unite across the globe to advance Christ-centered education through prayer on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Joining our school in prayer on this day is one great way everyone can participate in the CBCS Ministry Month activities.
To quote the ACSI website,
ACSI invites Christian educators and schools worldwide to come together under the theme “Power in Prayer”. Rooted in James 5:16, this promise reminds us that God listens and works when His people pray. Prayer isn’t about perfect words or flawless faith. It’s about humble dependence on a powerful God. Like Elijah, who was "a man with a nature like ours," we’re called to pray with confidence—not because of who we are, but because of who God is. As we unite for the Global Day of Prayer, let’s:
  • Pray boldly for the gospel to transform our schools.
  • Pray continually for God to use Christian education to make disciples of all nations.
  • Pray with expectation, not for our will, but for God’s will.
Wherever you are, whatever your role, your prayers matter. Let’s join together, trusting that God will use our prayers to move hearts, transform schools, and change the world.
You can find a map showing ACSI schools around the world participating in this Day of Prayer, the CBCS prayer requests listed along with the requests from other Christian schools, and a downloadable prayer guide at the following link: https://www.acsi.org/day-of-prayer.
As we have witnessed throughout the life of our school’s journey, prayer is powerful because God is Powerful and loves to answer the prayers of his children when they are in accordance with his will.
Blessings,

Denise Strickland

Here are some heartfelt stories that could remind us about how acts of sharing could ripple into the world.

Ministry Month
Early Childhood students will engage in our annual Ministry Month Program this February 2026, and all EC students and parents are invited to participate in this program!  The goal of this program is to teach all EC students about serving and loving the people around them through playing together and sharing material resources with those in need. We ask for your help to discuss with your child about the joy of serving others and then work with your child to provide donations in order to bless others. Also, please pray for those we will serve so they can feel God’s love through our ministry. See the schedule and destination for each grade listed above.
We sent the Ministry Month information with the donation lists through your child’s blue folder on Monday, January 26, 2026. Please read the information and contact your Homeroom Mom for details. Thank you for your generosity and participation. God bless your generous heart.
Thank You!
Many thanks to PS & K1 parents who helped us provide transportation and became chaperones on our field trip to KBP Eco Green (PS) and the Padalarang-Bandung Train Station (K1) last month. We appreciate your ministry to CBCS. God bless you.
